How do balance microorganisms’ interaction in the microenvironment? Do protists play a supporting role in bacterial infections? How do commensals involve in opportunistic parasite infection? These fundamental questions will be addressed by using interdisciplinary approaches at the intersection of microbiology, parasitology, cytology, and genetics. My major research interest is to investigate the interaction between parasites and bacteria, a phenomenon commonly found in pathogenic microenvironments. In addition, relevant research results will be further used to solve clinical problems and translate them into clinical applications.
