Dr. Tsai's research interest is environmental health, which aims to clarify the causal relationships between environmental exposures and adverse health effects through a longitudinal study design and the application of biomonitoring/big data analysis to achieve the purpose and novelty of the research. The roles of human gut microbiota and its functional pathways in human health are also his research interest to explore the probable mediated effects of gut microbiota between exposure and health outcomes. He has good academic research abilities (study design, biomarkers, co-exposure analysis, and big database analysis), and his professional maturity includes the services for the committee in scientific society and as a reviewer for journals. Dr. Tsai has been an active International Society for Environmental Epidemiology member since 2019 and held the position of member of the ISEE Students and New Researchers Network (SNRN) Steering Committee from 2021 to 2023.
